The Marthonisi is a small island in the bay of Laganas, just off the coast of Keri lush. Its shape resembles a turtle and so called Turtle Island.
You can reach it by boat governed by private or one of the small vessels ranging from Keri, Laganas or San Sostis.
Feels like heaven on earth as it is under the protection of the National Marine Park and thus remains pure and virgin. Space is nesting endangered sea turtle Caretta caretta. It has two beaches, one with a sand and shingle. There are even some caves that you can explore. The water is all shades of blue and is crystal clear and crystal.
There are no shops on the island you will find a boat with canteen serving drinks and snacks. Staying on the island after sunset is prohibited as there are volunteers of the National Marine Park in the guard during the night
